Playing a team who had only played the top 4 in our division could've been a warning for us which I tried to get across to the boys but they didn't listen and the first half were way off the pace.
Only having 13 again made our job difficult on the side as I would've switched half the team had I the bench, but after 6 minutes our left back cane off injured meaning we had to manage the game with just 1 sub.
Winning 2-1 at halftime i was far from pleased and told the boys they needed to up the intensity. 2nd half they did just that and got their just rewards.
On another day it would've been double figures and at our place I dare say it will be, but the boys learnt a lesson today which will stand them in good stead moving forward as there are only 2 teams that can win this league... and we have the other next up.
Special mention for 2 players today... Mason Crump making his return from 6 months out was outstanding at the back and played the full 90.
And Ollie up top... scored a hat trick, got a hat trick of assists and was a constant menace.
Team is starting to gel after adding 7 new faces over the summer, not to mention the new coach
